USDTC MEDALLION CLUB
The American Kennel Club awards a golden medallion to all exhibitors who finish a champion in conformation, obedience, or agility who are the breeder/owner/handler from start to finish. In addition, when finishing a conformation champion, the B/O/H must receive all championship points from the bred-by-exhibitor class to receive the medallion. It is an honor to receive the AKC Medallion and USDTC wants to recognize the particpating members/instructors of our club who have earned this award.
OBEDIENCE CHAMPIONS
OTCH DANCER Dawn Kennedy and "Dancer"
OTCH Shadow Dancer in Blue Genes UDX2 NA NAJ CGC

"I knew Dancer was special since the day she was born. I woke up and her mother, Blue, had already started to have the puppies. Dancer had separated herself from her 3 black siblings and was making her way off the matt, already displaying her drive and courage. She was my NoviceA dog - meaning she was my first obedience dog. She was also my first homebred AKC champion of any venue. She's been a joy to train and show, holding her own against some of the top dogs in the country in Florida's brutally competetive obedience rings. She began training at USDTC at just a few months old and trained there until she retired at 9 years old."

Dawn has instructed all levels of obedience at USDTC, assisted at obedience and agility trials, sat on the board for 2-1/2 years, was Treasurer, Vice President and redesigned our website.
AGILITY CHAMPIONS
MACH GEMINI Mike Fritz and "Gemini"
MACH4 Hytymes Twin Personalities

"Gemini was my first MACH and first homebred AKC champion."

Mike instructs advanced agility and has instructed all levels at USDTC. He was agility director for many years.
MACH KASHMIR David Thomas and "Kashmir"
MACH2 Himark's Stairway to Heaven CD RN NF

"Kashmir was my first obedience dog, my first agility dog, and my first homebred AKC champion. She just finished her MACH2. We began training at USDTC in obedience with Ann & Mike Fritz as our Basic Obedience Instructors followed by additional obedience classes taught by Alice Poppler and Kristy Lockard. Kashmir earned her CD title in AKC, UKC and WWKC as well as Rally titles in AKC and WWKC. Then the agility bug bit us. We began taking USDTC agility classes with Kurt Young and Richard Drago as our instructors. Once we got the hang of things, we graduated to Mike Fritz's advanced agility class and the rest is history. "

David and Janice moved to Plant City but were heavily involved with USDTC for many years, remain members and assist at trials and wherever they can.
CONFORMATION CHAMPIONS
CH STEALER Kristy Lockard and "Stealer"
CH Krystal's Jewel Thief

"Stealer was born in September of 2005. He has the sparkle that made him stand out in a crowd at just 7 weeks of age. As he grew up it became apparent just how special he is. Stealer finished his championship at just 13 months of age. He has trained at USDTC in conformation and obedience since he was old enough to be out and about."

Kristy instructs at all levels of obedience at USDTC. She currently teaches the Sub-Novice class, is Obedience Director, and CGC Certifier. Kristy holds the longest continual membership at USDTC, and has been a member since the 70's. She currently sits on the board and is Treasurer.
